30-second screen recording: open a channel, reply in a thread from the side panel, mention a teammate, set the channel notification level, catch up from the Inbox. 16:9 MP4, no audio, autoplays muted.
How it works.

Everything your team needs to talk in one place.
Direct messages, channels, threads, mentions, and notifications that fit how your team works, all inside the same workspace as the actual work.
Direct messages
Message anyone in your organization one-to-one. The same rich composer as everywhere else in the workspace, with formatting and mentions.
Organization channels
Open a channel for a team, a project, or a topic. Every organization starts with a shared general channel that all members are in, and anyone can create more. Only your organization sees its channels.
Threaded replies
Reply in a thread that opens in a resizable side panel while the channel stays readable behind it. The source message shows a reply count and who replied, so active discussions are easy to spot.
Mentions and whole-channel posts
Mention a person to notify them, or mention the whole channel to reach everyone. Mention someone who is not a member yet and add them in one click.
Per-channel notification levels
Set each channel to all new posts, just mentions, or muted, from its bell. A direct mention still reaches you in a muted channel, so nothing aimed at you slips past.
One Inbox for channel activity
Mentions, thread replies, channel invites, and channel-wide posts collect in a dedicated Channels view in your Inbox, so catching up is one focused list.
What teams use it for.
Four teams and the way each one keeps the conversation next to the work instead of in a separate tool.
Operations lead
Coordinating a launch
Goal
“Keep the whole launch team on the same page across product, marketing, and support without another tool.”
How it works
One channel for the launch with everyone in it. The launch project, the announcement doc, and the promo designs are all in the same workspace, so a message can point straight at the work. Mentions pull the right owner in when a decision is needed.
Engineer
Keeping a bug discussion contained
Goal
“Dig into a tricky bug without flooding the main channel for everyone who does not need the detail.”
How it works
Open a thread on the bug report. The back-and-forth stays in the side panel while the channel stays readable. When there is a fix, send the summary reply back to the channel so everyone gets the outcome without the noise.
New hire
Catching up on week one
Goal
“Get up to speed on what the team has been discussing without reading every channel top to bottom.”
How it works
Start in the Inbox. The Channels view collects the mentions, replies, and invites aimed at you in one list. Join the channels that matter, mute the ones that do not, and set each one to the level of noise that fits.
Founder
One place for the whole team
Goal
“Stop paying for a separate chat app that never talks to where the actual work happens.”
How it works
Team Chat sits in the same workspace as projects, docs, and designs. The conversation about a task lives next to the task. Hugo, the AI assistant, is one direct message away when the team needs a hand.
Chat that lives with your work.
A separate chat app never sees your projects and docs, and chat bolted onto a work tool is usually an afterthought. Team Chat is built into the same workspace as everything your team is shipping.

Works alongside the rest of Hugogen.
The conversation sits next to the work it is about, in the same workspace.
Projects →
Talk about a task in a channel, then track it in the same workspace. Decisions from a thread become tasks with owners and dates.
AI Chat →
Hugo, the AI assistant, is one direct message away. Ask it to research, draft, or summarise without leaving your messages.
Documents →
Point a channel straight at the launch plan or the proposal. The doc and the discussion live in one workspace.
Designer →
Share designs in a channel and keep the feedback next to the canvas instead of in a separate thread somewhere else.
Common questions
