One click on a selected photo

Select a photo on the canvas and press Remove BG in the toolbar above it. Uploaded photos, pictures from the library and AI-made images all work, and the button shows the current cost before anything runs.

Soft, clean edges at full size

Hair, loose strands and fine details keep their soft edges instead of a hard outline. The cutout comes back at the size of the original photo, with nothing cropped or scaled down along the way.

Put the subject on a new color

The cutout is a normal layer, and the page behind it can take any color from the color picker. A dark page, a bright page or a soft brand color is one change away, and the subject stays exactly in place.

Use the cutout in a post or a listing

Add a headline, shapes or a second photo around the cutout to build a post, a thumbnail or a product picture for a shop. Every element stays on its own layer and can be moved or edited later.

How to remove the background from an image

  1. Step 1

    Upload a photo

    Open the image editor and upload a JPG, PNG or WebP photo of up to 25 MB, or pick one from the library.

  2. Step 2

    Press Remove BG

    Select the photo and press Remove BG. Most cutouts come back within a minute, and a removal is charged only when it succeeds.

  3. Step 3

    Place it and download

    Put the cutout on a new color or in a design, then download a PNG or JPG. A PNG with a transparent background is a Pro export.

Most photos come back within a minute. The first removal after a quiet period can take a little longer while the processing server starts up.

JPG, PNG and WebP photos work, up to 25 MB each in the image editor. Pictures made with the AI image generator and images already in the library work too.

A removal is charged only when the cutout comes back. If a removal fails or runs out of time, nothing is taken from the account, and pressing Remove BG again picks up the same job.

The cutout is a normal layer on the page. Change the page color, place a photo or a shape behind it, or add text around it, and every part stays editable.

A PNG with a transparent background is part of the Pro and Business plans. On the free plan the cutout downloads as a PNG or JPG on the page color, which can be white or any other color.
